Messenger Utility Message Manager

This screen demonstrates the end-to-end flow for pages_utility_messaging used in our Meta App Review.

How this screen is used in App Review:

Connect a Facebook Page and grant the required permissions.
Select a utility message template and fill in the dynamic placeholders (name, order ID, etc.).
Send the message to a test recipient and verify delivery in the native Messenger client.

Step 1 – Select Page & Recipient

Facebook Page

Only Pages that are connected to this tenant are listed here.

Recipient (PSID)

This dropdown contains the PSID and display name of users who already contacted your Page.

Step 2 – Choose Utility Template & Fill Placeholders

Utility Message Tag

This field maps to Meta MESSAGE_TAG values and must match the purpose of the message.

Utility Message Template

Utility message to inform the customer that the order has been shipped.

Customer Name ({{customer_name}})

Order ID ({{order_id}})

Tracking URL ({{tracking_url}})

Template Text (with placeholders)

Use placeholders such as {{customer_name}}, {{order_id}}, {{tracking_url}} etc.

Step 3 – Live Preview

This preview shows how the final message will look after replacing the placeholders with real customer data.

During App Review, we use this button to send a test utility message to a reviewer test account.
